English Corner is every Wednesdays at 10 -11.30am during school term-time at St James Church. This is an informal free class for anyone who would like to practice their English, have some fun and make new friends.

A short reflective service on Mondays at 9.30-10am, followed by refreshments.
Morning Prayer is on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday at 8.30- 9am Let us know how we can pray for you, or come along and pray with us
'God at Work' is on every Tuesday 12.30-1.30pm at Christ Church for workers in the Brunswick Square area who can take a lunch break. It provides a chance to be refreshed and to grow in faith.
Bring a craft activity with you, or come and learn something new.
Craft Club is held on every second and fourth Monday at 10am-noon at St James Church
Regular Bible Study and Courses are run throughout the year to learn together and encourage one another to grow in Christian faith
A short service is held for residents and neighbours at Charter Court, Victoria St every first Monday of the month at 2.15pm
Meeting Place is every third Tuesday of the month at 10-11.30am.
Everyone is welcome to come along and meet new friends and learn something new, refreshments provided
Social Events are held throughout the year and include Skittles, Concerts and Quizzes.
We are proud of our church school, St James Church of England Junior School. We love welcoming the children to church and working with them in school.
St James Parish Hall is a community facility on Upton Street, opposite St James City Farm which is available for community groups and for children’s parties.

If you would like to give financially to the work of this parish you can do this by a one off gift, by leaving a legacy or by regular giving through direct debit (Parish Giving Scheme), payroll giving, envelopes or collections at a Sunday Service.

Payroll giving is a tax free way of giving regularly to the parish. Your gift is taken directly from your salary before tax is calculated. Speak to your employer if you would like to do this and contact the Parish Treasurer.
Weekly envelopes are available to put in the Sunday collection plate.
Gift Aid means that if you're a UK taxpayer, your gift will increase at no extra cost to you. Under the government Gift Aid scheme, the parish can reclaim the basic rate of tax on gifts by UK taxpayers. Please let the parish Treasurer know if you would like to Gift Aid your giving.
